Venture Photography Flies the Flag for UK Franchise Success in America

Market leading franchise Venture Photography has enjoyed a landmark year so far, seeing continued success and expansion in both the US and UK markets.
Venture has consolidated its position as a global brand by doubling its American operations in August with new studios in Minneapolis, in Minnesota, and New Jersey, joining existing studios in Greenwich and Westport, both located in Connecticut.

Mark Witter, Venture's Franchise Development Director, sees vast opportunities for the business in multiple foreign markets following the success of its current overseas portfolio spanning Hong Kong, Ireland and the USA.

"Our international studios perform extremely well, as our unique concept continues to be well received around the world." says Mark. The years we have spent building the brand in the UK have stood us in good stead and we have a great package to offer the right franchise owners looking to introduce Venture to new markets."

Doug Dolliff, Venture's new franchise owner, worked in real estate for more than 20 years before finding out about the Venture brand from a business associate.

After spending months in the USA and UK researching the business, he decided to take the leap and open his own studio in his home town of Minneapolis.

He says: "It's exciting to be introducing the Venture concept to Minnesotans. Portrait photography here still tends to look quite old-fashioned and traditional, so the reaction from local residents so far has been fantastic.

"The fact that Venture is originally a British brand only adds to its appeal, it's early days yet but I'm already hoping to open more studios in the future."

Each Venture studio photographs around 1,000 clients a year, who spend on average £700. Venture is credited with reinventing the traditional family portrait, delivering a fun studio experience reflecting modern family life and creating personal art for the home.

Closer to home, Richard and Pamela Morris opened their new Venture studio in Liverpool last month and they are feeling confident about the brand's future in the city.

Richard says: "Liverpool is a very family focused area and the local people have a great sense of style so we are optimistic about opening here - the reaction so far has been fantastic.

"Pamela and I decided to become Venture franchise owners after years of working in the technology industry. We were looking for a lifestyle change and a new challenge and our new career has certainly delivered so far.

"It's great to be able to work in a creative environment in the thriving city centre. Life at Venture couldn't be further removed from my previous career and it's been rewarding to build the business together with my wife."

Venture Photography is looking to complete its UK network with a handful of vacant territories available.
